Deep red in colour, with great intensity, showing an edge of deep, dried plums, but with flashes of violet. On the nose ripe black fruits dominate, with even some hints of dried fruits and notes of coconut and vanilla from the oak, as well as hints of toasty baking bread. The palate is full and powerful, but also silky velvet, and very elegant, showing fine, ripe tannins.

The finish is very long, lightly sweet, warm and attractive. A wine to be enjoyed now, although its structure suggests it will improve in bottle over several years.

Best served at a temperature of: 15 to 18 C
